Bastien Frédéric Astor de Lancret (born 2 November 1985) is the second son of Queen Vivienne and her consort, Prince Olivier. As such, he is currently third in the line of succession to the throne of the Federation of Acheron, behind his elder brother and nephew.

Early life[]

Astor de Lancret was born in Montréal, Québec, Canada, on 2 November 1985 to an American father and a French Canadian mother. As such, he held dual citizenship within the United States and Canada. At the age of eleven, Astor de Lancret's family moved to the northern outskirts of Toronto after his father's public relations agency expanded into southern Ontario.

At the age of eighteen, Astor de Lancret was accepted into the Université Concordia in Montréal. There he studied in the visual arts program, though he was unable to complete his studies due to the outbreak of the Canadian Crisis in 2008.

Personal life[]

Bastien Astor de Lancret is openly gay, though he prefers to keep the details of his personal life to himself and not available to the general public. However, it was announced by Château d'Arleux that Astor de Lancret had married his boyfriend, Julien Guérard, on 8 August 2010 in Windermere, New York. Upon his marriage, Astor de Lancret was bestowed the newly-created title, Duke of Champlain.

Astor de Lancret and Guérard met at university in Montréal prior to the Canadian Crisis. Dating for the following two years, the couple fled to Pickering, Ontario, with Guérard's family after the dissolution of Canada. Upon the creation of Federation, Astor de Lancret and Guérard moved into a loft in downtown Toronto until the Acheronian annexation of Québec, whereupon they moved back to Montréal.
