The House of Representatives is the Lower House of the Atlantic Federation and consists of 65 members, each member being elected from their local constituency and serving a maximum term of thirty years. Fifty members are elected via the first past the post system and fifteen using proportional representation. Since the November 2011 election, there has been a coalition government of the two centre-right parties - the Unionist Party and the Freedom Party. The main opposition is the People's Labour Party.
