The Arcadian Empire is a country on Planet Bob, with the capital being Arcadia. The Empire is a large nation, with a diameter (at widest length) of almost 1400 miles (875km).
Today, the Empire is ruled in a Capitalist Democratic fashion, different from many other countries in combining two governments quite effectively. It is a matured nation of over 600 days in existance and with just over 130 000 tax-paying citizens and soldiers. With no full data on total population, recent figures show that all citizens (not just tax payers and soldiers) may border around 150 000-160 000. From its beginnings, it has been a permanent member of the Legion, and celebrated their one year anniversary as a Legionnaire on July 11, 2008. Another important milestone was the One Year Anniversary of being a Legion Senator on February 14, 2009.
The Arcadian Empire is a football-loving nation and is also the creator the UCFA Champions League and won and hosted editions. It is an active participant in World Football, participating in FIFOB, Liga Mundo, Transvaal World Cup and its own Domestic Championship it's teams have one two honours in total and its honours include: 2 UCFA Champions Leagues and the Legion Championship.

(The) Arcadian Empire is a medium sized, well developed, and aging nation at 622 days old with citizens primarily of Mixed ethnicity whose religion is Christianity. Its technology is first rate and its citizens marvel at the astonishing advancements within their nation. Its citizens pay extremely high taxes and many despise their government as a result. The citizens of Arcadian Empire work diligently to produce Aluminum and Spices as tradable resources for their nation. It is a mostly neutral country when it comes to foreign affairs. It will usually only attack another nation if attacked first. Arcadian Empire is currently researching nuclear technology for the use of nuclear power plants but believes nuclear weapons should be banned. Plans are on the way within Arcadian Empire to open new rehabilitation centers across the nation and educate its citizens of the dangers of drug use. Arcadian Empire allows its citizens to protest their government but uses a strong police force to monitor things and arrest lawbreakers. It has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country they will have to become citizens first. Arcadian Empire believes in the freedom of speech and feels that it is every citizen's right to speak freely about their government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. Arcadian Empire will not make deals with another country that has a poor history of inhuman treatment of its citizens.
[edit] The Flag of the Arcadian Empire
The Flag of the Arcadian Empire was adopted on July 8, 2007. The flag is Red and Black, the two national colours of the Empire. Red is chosen to show the fear others have of the Empire and the Black is meant to represent the struggles the Empire has faced. The Red Star is the most important symbol, it is the symbol of the Imperial Government.

The Arcadian Empire was formed officially on July 8, 2007. On July 9, one day after being recognised officially, the Arcadian Empire joined the Alliance Legion as per law in the 3rd Constitution of the Arcadian Empire.
During July 9 and 11, 2007, the Arcadian Empire fought the 3 Day War with HoratioLand, a nation allied with Blackwave, which is a White Alliance, according to the Arcadian Intelligence Agency. In total, 54 Arcadians lost their lives in 5 battles while killing 51.
As part of the "Expand Arcadia" Program, Stadiums were built to house future sporting events to come to Arcadia, some being UCFA Champions League Finals, Liga Mundo matches and friendlies. The original Stadio Imperator was renamed "Arcadian Stadium" and expanded to almost 100 000.
The Arcadian Empire finally went out of peace mode on August 19 and since then, has been growing in population peacefully. On August 26, they grew to 7,000 people and it is planned on either August 27 or 28 that a new improvement to the nation will be made. The Stadium was eventually built on September 1, and given the name Stadio Imperatrix. However, this was renamed to "Imperial Stadium" and expanded to 65 300 capacity.
In early September, the world went to a war like situation again which annulled the commitments of the Government to not purchase anything for a week in honour of fallen Arcadians. The Unjust War had started, and orders from the Legion forced the Empire to go to DEFCON 1 and to attack \m/ targets.
Since then, the Empire has quietly grown and started its impression in the international Football scene with the start of the first ever UCFA Champions League where it finished in Third Place. Then coming Third again, winning the Championship and then retaining it. It is currently into its 3rd title defence, but lost however. Then, the Champions League folded - and left the Empire to participate in Liga Mundo, where it has continued to make a presence even today. Arcadia has also participated in the Transvaal World Cup, where it finished 17th, and came 2nd in Liga Mundo.
Arcadia has been blooming recently, with many improvements and talk of a National Wonder to come - and they came thick and fast with the Empire developing a Disaster Relief Agency, Great Temple, Interstate System, National Research Lab, Social Security System and a Stock Market. The Arcadian Empire's strength has continually increased even after the nuclear bombing raids of Great War V, breaking their pre-GWV strength in January, and breaking the top 20% and then top 15% soon after.
Currently, the Arcadian Empire is investing in its military, developing cruise missiles, spies, navy, tanks, more aircraft and to top it off, a Manhattan Project in early April.

The Government of Arcadia consists of the Emperor (with assistance from the Empress) and the Imperial Executives. It is a Capitalist Democracy, although the name Empire can be misleading, Democracy is used in many areas of life in Arcadia, and high taxes are imperative, although leading to decreased happiness, Arcadia has become technologically advanced because of it and this continued investment in the nation has made it to excel in the world.
There are Three Branches of Government in Arcadia:
- The Legislature: the Arcadian Parliament, consisting of the Emperor, the House of Prefects (Upper) and the House of Arcadia (Lower).
- The Imperial Executive Council: the Emperor and the Imperial Executives.
- The Judiciary: the Imperial Court of Arcadia, and other lower courts (High Court, District Court, Local Court)
The bicameral Parliament consists of the Emperor, the House of Prefects (the Higher House) consisting of 105 senators from 15 provinces, and a House of Arcadia (Lower) consisting of 150 members.
Members of the House of Arcadia (HoA) are elected from the 150 'districts' of Arcadia, a number which is fixed, meaning that the actual area of some districts will physically increase in size. The Members of the HoA assist as representatives to their districts, bringing any grievance to the Parliament. The HoA can start legislation and vote on it to be passed to the House of Prefects. The House of Arcadia is named after the nation to represent the representation of the people in Government.
Members of the House of Prefects (HoP) are elected from 15 provinces. There are 105 seats to be filled, and ten districts make up one province and are determined by geographic means. This will also mean the size of provinces may increase. The House of Prefects vote formally on Legislation and any movement by the HoA, including raising any grievance formally. Legislation that passes the House of Prefects is sent to the Emperor for final assent.
Elections for the HoA and HoP take place every six months (although this is rarely used in practice), and the party with the majority support in the House of Arcadia becomes Emperor. This means the linear succession by blood through Emperor's is not always the case, but ever since the Empire's inception, Emperor Power (known as 'The Pikachu') has consistantly won the elections. This is because of the lack of opposition, although opposition parties are allowed, they have failed to gain any majority in any election.
Since the first election in October 2007, after calls for a Democratic Government, Emperor Power (the Pikachu) won that election, the election in April, July and October 2008 and most recently regained power in February 2009.

[edit] Foreign Relations and Military
Officially, the Arcadian Empire only has relations with other Legion nations. In order to better achieve these goals, the Arcadian Empire decided on July 11, 2007 by the Imperial Order 1 - to join the Legion Alliance. This has never been repealed, and because of the Empire's increasing ties with other alliances due to football and being Legion Government - the Empire has a Pax Legio-esque policy, peace to all nations.
