Avidonia is a growing, somewhat developed, and old nation at 252 days old with citizens primarily of Caucasian ethnicity whose religion is Sikhism. Its technology is first rate and its citizens marvel at the astonishing advancements within their nation. Its citizens pay extremely high taxes and many despise their government as a result. The citizens of Avidonia work diligently to produce Oil and Fish as tradable resources for their nation. It is a mostly neutral country when it comes to foreign affairs. It will usually only attack another nation if attacked first. When it comes to nuclear weapons Avidonia will not research or develop nuclear weapons. The military of Avidonia has been positioned at all border crossings and is arresting all drug traffickers. Avidonia allows its citizens to protest their government but uses a strong police force to monitor things and arrest lawbreakers. It has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country they will have to become citizens first. Avidonia believes in the freedom of speech and feels that it is every citizen's right to speak freely about their government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. Avidonia will not make deals with another country that has a poor history of inhuman treatment of its citizens.
Dawning of a New Age[]
At the beginning of the Second Renaissance a small floating city was founded in international waters which was to be the zenith of all of the world's knowledge and the pinnacle of technology. It was named Avidonia. Avidonia soon grew to the point of becoming a city-state and even to a new nation. The government, under the rule of Daefaroth en Ereinion, is a socialist democracy so as to ensure that all citizens are (socially) equal.
Soon after being declared a new nation, Avidonia established a colony on the moon which was named Minas Avon [1] which functions as a lunar research facility, military operations command center, and mining facility. Many Avidonians hope to soon move on to terraforming and colonizing other planets.
