Bloc

A Bloc can be either:

- A group of people with the same aims, interests or goals. Often used in terms of voting i.e. a group of representatives voting in the same way, or

- A group of countries (or in this case alliances) in a special group, again with the same aims, interests or goals. These blocs are very often joined together internally by various pacts, such as MADPs, whereby all participating alliances hold and maintain the same pacts with the other alliances in that bloc.

Active blocs in italics are those which had three or more members at one point but now have only two. Active blocs are ordered alphabetically while defunct blocs are placed in the order they became defunct.
