[edit] Nation Information

Caranza is small, underdeveloped, and new nation at 90 days old with citizens primarily of Mestizo ethnicity whose religion is Christianity. It is a backwards nation when it comes to technology and many refer to it unkindly as a 'Third World Nation'. Its citizens pay moderately high tax rates and they are somewhat unhappy in their work environments as a result. The citizens of Caranza work diligently to produce Furs and Sugar as tradable resources for their nation. It is a mostly neutral country when it comes to foreign affairs. It will usually only attack another nation if attacked first. Caranza is currently researching nuclear technology for the use of nuclear power plants but believes nuclear weapons should be banned. The military of Caranza has been positioned at all border crossings and is arresting all drug traffickers. Caranza allows its citizens to protest their government but uses a strong police force to monitor things and arrest lawbreakers. It has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country they will have to become citizens first. Caranza detains individuals who participate in the slanderous comments about the government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. Caranza will trade with other nations with questionable ethical treatment of their citizens but prefers to keep such trade agreements a secret.
