| Confédération de Nations Françaises|
|Founders||steve mcclellan (June, 2007)|
The Confédération de Nations Françaises was founded in late June, 2007 as a defensive alliance of French speaking nations. However, once several nations came under attack in the middle of July, 2007 it became open to other nationalities as well. The focus of the Confédération altered drastically, offering aid and refuge to small and middle-sized nations attacked without provocation. In late July 2007, with the help of several members of Norden Verein, the Confédération became Europa.
Aims of the Confédération
The Confédération de Nations Françaises was founded with the aim of being a loose conglomeration of states that share in a common goal and common defense. The following are roughly the goals set for the Confédération:
1) Provide protection and aid to nations attacked without provocation.
2) Strive for peaceful relations with other nations and alliances.
3) Offer aid and assistance for new nations.
4) Follow the dialectic of the Categorical Imperative, treating each nation, whether aligned or not as and end in itself, and never a means.
Constitution of the Confédération de Nations Françaises Edit
We the undersigned, members of the Confédération de Nations Françaises Declare this to be a defensive alliance created on the premise of individual sovereign rights of the state and of humanity, no matter creed, religion, ideology, race, or divergent demeanors of any kind.
Section 1: Admission and Membership
The Confédération de Nations Françaises is open to any nation so long as they are not involved in an aggressive war, or leaving another alliance in an unsavory means.
Section 2: Of the Harmony Which the Transcendental Concept of Public Right Establishes Between Morality and Politics
Each member of the alliance has the right to govern his own domestic, and foreign affairs, so long as done in a moral way. The governments of member nations are not to be oppressive in any way. Likewise, relations with other nations are to be cordial and friendly. Any evidence of threats, boasts, extortion, or unjustified declaration of war will mean the explusion of that nation from the alliance.
Section 3: Of the Guarantee for Perpetual Peace
Aggressive warfare is strictly forbidden. This is why we offer aid to one another in an alliance. However, if declared war on, or if evidence of extortion is proved, then the alliance will collectively respond to the aggressor nation/alliance. Once declared, war will be carried out until the end, or a suitable peace is achieved.
Section 4: On the Definitive Articles for Perpetual Peace Among Member States
It is encouraged that regular aid (between 1 and 2 aid slots) is always left open for members of the alliance in need. Here we shall follow the Marxist maxim, "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need." Larger and older nations are encouraged to aid small, and new members and offer advice for developing their nations. If a member nation is attacked, alliance affiliates must rush finicial aid to that nation if a declaration of war on their behalf is not an option available.
Section 5: Elected Council
The alliance will be maintained by an elected council of five members, positions as follows:
1)President 2)Prime Minister 3)Minister of Foreign Relations 4)Minister of Internal Affairs 5)Secretary
Elections will take place once every three months, falling on the 4th day of the election month. Any resolution voted into law must be met with the approval of 3/5 majority by the elected council. Voting shall take place on the forum, in the proper field. Any council member wishing to vacate his post, shall be allowed and another official immediately nominated and elected in his place. Consecutive terms adding up to four terms (one year) is the maximum a member can hold office, however, rotating positions are allowed.
Section 6: Roles of the Council
The President shall be in charge of overseeing the debates and forums, as well as offering council and advise to the other members. The Prime Minister shall direct the recruitment process, and the growth of the alliance. The Minister of Foreign Relations will make it his task to develop and maintain friendly relations with other nations/alliances. The Miniter of Internal Affairs will regulate the day-to-day politics of the member nations, and oversee aid, etc. The Secretary will be in charge of updating the dialogues of the debates and councils, as well as the CyberNations Wiki page, etc.
Section 7: On Nuclear Weapons
Member nations are encouraged to develop nuclear weapons as a deterrent. However, usage in war must be meant with approval by the elected council prior to their release.
Section 8: Amendments
This constitution is not meant to be absolute. Any article can be challenged, and if need be, changed by a discussion of the member states. Change must be approved by a majority of the council.
