The Californian Union is a parliamentary imperial sovereign state and unitary state consisting of seven constituent countries: the United States of JBR, United Duchies of Central Kingdom, Kern, Gauntletia, the Democratic People's Republic of California, Peru, and Chile. The Union is referred as a sovereign state while the constituent countries are referred as countries. However, in informal terms, the Union is referred as simply, a country. Four of the countries are also constituent countries of one of the main constituent countries (United States of JBR): Kern, Gauntletia, Peru, and Chile. These countries are often referred as sub-countries or minor constituent countries as they are considered members of both the Union and the JBRican States.
All three of the main constituent countries (United States of JBR, Central Kingdom, and the Republic of California), are all different in their style of government (the JBRican States has promcapablic federal republic; Central Kingdom has an elective monarchy; the Republic of California has a communist government). The minor constituent countries (excluding Gauntletia) are all subdivisions of the JBRican States but are all federal presidential republics.

United States of JBR
Edit
- Main article: United States of JBR
The United States of JBR has a government consisting of four branches: the Executive, Legislative, Judicial, and People's. Of the four branches, the Executive Branch is the strongest branch in the entire government. However, democratically, the People's Branch is the strongest branch if the majority of JBRican citizens vote for a particular function (e.g., a law, impeachment, referendums, elections).
The Government is led by the President who is eligible to become one of the heads in the Union's Triumvirate. Within the JBRican States, the President holds the highest authority within the state (in normal circumstances) and holds executive, legislative, judicial powers. However, the President can be overturned by the Congress, the Supreme Court or People's Branch by majority vote. The President is also accompanied with the Royal Family and the Cabinet. The Joint Service Officers and the JBRican Armed Forces together are also considered to be part of the Executive Branch and all high-ranking executives are part of the High Executive Committee. Under the current Californian constitution, the Union's law is based off of several elements within the JBRican Constitution.
Central Kingdom
Edit
- Main article: Central Kingdom
The United Duchies of Central Kingdom has a government with a monarch who can be democratically elected. The monarch holds the highest power within the government although his Privy Council and the Duchies' Council of Central Kingdom are also one of the most influential organs within the country.
The Privy Council is the monarch's personal group of advisers with officials who oversee specific topics such as education, health, and defense. The Duchies' Council is the legislature of the country with its members being the leaders of the countries' respective duchies. It can be said that the Duchies' Council is similar to the JBRican Senate although its members are also heads of the countries' subdivisions. Technically, Central Kingdom has no constitution and rather, on the national level, the law is practiced by tradition as decreed in the Kingdom's creation document which stated several de facto "traditions". Each duchy is required to have a constitution however, and thus, laws may vary from each duchy.
Republic of California
Edit
- Main article: Democratic People's Republic of California
The Democratic People's Republic of California is a socialist republic and single-party state. Unlike the other constituent countries, the Republic functions with socialism rather than capitalism. Because of this, trade with the Republic with the others is limited although the Republic has several capitalist elements. The President (or Eternal President) is the titular head of state and nominal commander in chief. The Prime Minister is the head of government presiding over a council of ministers and officials.
The National Assembly is the legislature of the country and is by far superior to the executive and judicial branches. All members of the council of ministers including the Prime Minister are part of the National Assembly and even the Supreme People's Court is supervised under the Assembly. The Assembly is also led by a de facto committee known as the Politburo who are composed of the most senior members. Arguably, the Politburo holds the highest power and the Communist Party, which is the only legal party, is headed by this. The Politburo is led by the General-Secretary.
