The Director of Infinity United was one of the three positions that were apart of the both Constitutions of Infinity. Under the current Constitution, the Director of Infinity United is responsible for maintaining a volunteer military and the defense of the alliance.
According to the Constitution of the Infinity Alliance:
| “ | The Director of Infinity United shall only have the responsibility to gather intelligence under the legal methods under international law, to keep and maintain an active record of the alliance of the alliance membership, to command the squads of combat in times of war, negotiate strategy with our allies in combat and defend the alliance from rouges and ghosts. | ” |
History of the Director of Infinity United[]
The Director of Infinity United was one of three positions that carried into the second Constitution of the Infinity Alliance. The position did not change in scope or responsibility greatly between the two Constitutions, but under the new Constitution the Director has more control over the military.
Under the original Constitution, the Director was in charge of all military matters. The Constitution specifically mentioned:
- Military purchase advice.
- Minimum war chest requirements, battles, and spy operations.
- He/She is in charge of appointing at least three assistants:
- Deputy Director of Military Education
- Deputy Director of Intelligence and Special Operations
- Deputy Director of Military Command
Under the original Constitution, Concussion was the Director of Infinity United. His activity was so-so at best, but he was able to serve his position faithfully. After the Constitutional Convention, he stepped down from the position but remained in the alliance.
The new Constitution did not change the responsibilities of the position, but outlined them more clearly. The first Director under the new system was Britishdude, former Director of Infinity Financial. He led the Military and began to organize it into a fighting force to be reckoned with. He was undermined, however, due to controversy surrounding his actions on IRC chat with the Director of Infinity Central, Kelseygirl. Britishdude left the alliance, and then returned, but was unable to regain support to retain his position. On August 21, 2009, he left the alliance.
President Huffington was than elected Director of Infinity United. He served the position, reluctantly until the end of Britishdude's term. President Huffington left the alliance due to real life issues in late September. The position remained vacant for several months. On October 25 Elcanatureboy was elected to fill the void left by President Huffington.
Elcanatureboy has finished the organization started by Britishdude and led the alliance in some of its first battles against rouge nations.
