All flags used by Alpha Orionis were designed by Klaus von Ausburg, with the exception of the Banner of the Order of Orionis, which was drawn up by Aggamennod. All were originally based off a central deisgn originally made for an early version of Alpha Orionis (then un-named and only a scratch idea of an alliance). The alliance itself has two flags, a state flag and a war banner, and each division has a flag of its own. All flags hold similarities in that they must contain Alpha Orionis' three official colours (flown on the tri-colour): Maroon, Black, and White.

Originally, in its history, the War Banner was meant to be the National Flag, but in a fit of boredom Klaus drew up the coat of arms and put it on a tri-colour using the three main colours from the war banner.

The Order of Orion is an elite organisation within Alpha Orionis. It shares many of its flags with the Orionis Navy.
