The foreign relations of Disparu are Disparu's relations with other governments of Planet Bob, as well as of Planet Eagleia and Gaea. Disparu's most important relationship is with the member nations of its alliance, the Aqua Defense Initiative. However, it also maintains diplomatic ties with other nations.

[edit] Post-Secession
After Disparu's secession from Canada, Disparu was unable to join any international organization that Canada was part of, such as the United Nations, to prevent enraging their hostile neighbour. Only the Francophonie and most of its members recognized Disparu's secession from Canada. Even though Canada, which still had membership in the Francophonie via New Brunswick, attempted to completely remove Disparu from the Francophonie, other members of the Francophonie stated that Disparu's French culture made it an important part of the Francophonie. Despite efforts to retain Disparu's automatic membership in the Francophonie, Canada managed to demote Disparu to an observer status. This continued hostility prevented Disparu from joining any major international organization, and was forced to join less recognized organizations.

The foreign relations of Disparu with other nations began on 27 February 2009 when Disparu joined the Democratic Order as a provisional member, when Disparu was invited into the alliance by the New World Federation. Disparu was aided by several older nations of the alliance, and participated in techology deals as a seller to larger nations in the alliance. Foreign relations increased when Disparu became a full member of TDO on 9 March 2009, when Disparu was assigned with the task of inviting other nations to the alliance, and handling trade affairs within the alliance. Disparu's work on both fields enabled it to earn a seat in the alliance's Low Senate on 23 May 2009. During the nation's time in TDO, Disparu had been a supporter of TDO's Declaration of Global Neutrality.
Disparu used to import technology from other TDO nations. The task of sending money and receiving technology was given to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Relations between TDO and Disparu eventually stopped after Disparu seceded from the alliance on 17 September 2009, due to several conflicts with some of its members, and corruption and instability within the alliance. Relations between Disparu and TDO continue to remain strained due to this incident. Neither side seem to have any plans to repair foreign relations, and both sides tend to avoid each other as much as possible.

Disparu's individual foreign relations with other nations began on 3 March 2009, when the Disparuean Government signed a trade agreement with the nation of Dendodgia. The trade agreement eventually evolved into a mutual trade agreement called 5BR with six nations; Whatsinaname, Dendodgia, Disparu, Dunkur, Critian and Yucca Valley. The trade agreement was Disparu's idea, and the Government of Disparu took the lead in convincing other nations to join the 5BR. Only two of these nations, Disparu and Critian, are still active in the 5BR, while the other nations have been replaced.
The 5BR currently enables all member nations to obtain the resources necessary to produce an excess of construction requipment, asphalt, automobiles, steel and fast food products. The 5BR also allows free trade between the signatory nations.
The 5BR was originally designed to yield enough resources to produce more fast food products, construction equipment and beer, however Disparu made several changes to the agreement in order to accommodate more resources. The changes enabled signatory members to produce more automobiles, asphalt and steel, but lost its ability to produce beer.
The 5BR was changed again before the Karma War in order to accommodate microchips and radiation cleanup equipment, but would lose the ability to produce more fast food products. The changes forced Whatsinaname to quit from the 5BR, and was replaced by Voila. Even though Disparu did not know about the upcoming Karma War, replacing Whatsinaname with Voila was actually beneficial to all signatories, since the war caused the global radiation level to rise to unmanageable levels. The new equipment gained by the signatories helped reduce the impact of the war.
The 5BR was changed by Disparu after Voila no longer responded to the other 5BR members, and the global radiation level had finally reached pre-war levels. Voila was replaced by Yellowslavia, which caused the 5BR members to be able to produce more fast food products, but the production of microchips and radiation cleanup equipment severely slowed down. The 5BR was changed again on 20 September 2009, when the Government of Dendodgia stopped responding to the rest of the 5BR. Dendodgia was replaced by RiverWorld, after Disparu contacted RiverWorld's government about the prospect of joining the 5BR.
Dunkur was automatically removed from the 5BR on 29 January 2010, after Dunkur was removed from the Aqua Trading Sphere due to several violations. The sudden removal of Dunkur caused a sudden crisis to all members of the 5BR, prompting Disparu to find another supplier of iron and spices (which were originally produced by Dunkur).
The 5BR is currently composed of the nations of Disparu, Yellowslavia, River World, Yucca Valley, and Critian.

The Government of Disparu's first state visit was in the nation of Reine Wald on 22 May 2009. The representatives of the Government, then-Chancellor Lance Pikachurin, then-Minister of Internal Affairs Cynthia Celeste, Minister of Foreign Affairs Wallace Muddkip and the Royal Triumvirate (Executive Triumvir, Legislative Triumvir and Judicial Triumvir), Rowan Atkin, Spencer Fowl and Jack Chiron respectively, managed to fly to Herzeleid, Reine Wald's capital, safely. However, the trip was cancelled due to a security concern when a SCORPIA assassin attempted to assassinate N Reeki, leader of the United States of Backyard.
[edit] During the Darach Crisis
During the Darach Crisis, when the DNN announced Queen Caitlin Darach's assassination, several nations such as the United States of Backyard and Eagleia sent trops to Disparu in order to aid the search efforts for the assassin in Jubilife. The cooperation between Eagleian and Disparuean governments, along with the successful capture of the assassin, helped to start diplomatic relations between the nations.

On 7 August 2009, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched a program in order to encourage other nations to exchange embassies with Disparu. The program, called DEEP (acronym for Disparuean Embassy Exchange Program), was an instant success. Several nations have exchanged embassies through DEEP.
On 12 August 2009, five days after it launched its DEEP project, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs began to take steps in order to gain full recognition from all nations of Planet Bob. After working on an agreement with Viniland and Tahoe, the Disparu Act was written and approved, and Disparu finally became a fully-recognized nation on 14 August 2009.

Foreign relations between Disparu and ADI officially started on 18 September 2009, when Disparu seceded from TDO and officially joined the ADI, although rumours state that relations between the two entities began one day earlier, on 17 September 2009. Disparu was one of the earliest members of the ADI, and was also one of the first members of the Council of Guardians. As ADI was composed of ex-TDO nations that had good relations with Disparu and were also seceded from TDO due to internal oppression, corruption and instability in the alliance, relations between Disparu and ADI had always been good. Disparu is currently a part of the Initiative's Hall of Sentinels. Disparu also currently has one 3x3 technology deal with other ADI member nations.

Disparu currently maintains twenty-three diplomatic missions with other foreign entities. All embassies in Disparu are located in Jubilife's Diplomatic Quarters.

Relations between Disparu and Arctica informally began on 1 September 2009, when the Arctican government made a request to the Disparuean Gvernment, shortly after Disparu announced its annexation of several Arctic islands to Nunavik, to allow Arctican SCVs (Submarine Cargo Vessels) to pass through Disparuean waters while carrying cargo between Madagascar and Arctica's northern islands. Negotiations went fairly well, and a territorial treaty was signed on 4 September 2009.
Foreign relations between Disparu and Arctica officially began on 18 September 2009 when both nations exchanged embassies via DEEP. Shortly after the embassy exchange, the Disparuean Government agreed to extradite any Arctican criminals found within Disparuean territory, and to allow free trade between Disparu and Arctica. The Arctican Ambassador to Disparu is Jean-Marie Daladier, while the Disparuean Ambassador to Artica is Adam Kinsey.

Foreign relations between Blue Heaven and Disparu officially began on 7 August 2009, when Blue Heaven was still known as Kitex. The Kitexian Government submitted an application for an embassy to the Disparuean Ministry of Foreign Affairs through DEEP, becoming one of the first nations to do so.
Relations between Kitex and Disparu strengthened when both nations signed the Aurora Free Trade Agreement (AFTA) on 31 August 2009. Relations were slightly strained when a Kitexian terrorist entered Disparuean territory through illegal means and caused limited damage. The terrorist was quickly caught and extradited back to Kitex, while the Kitexian Government apologized for the mistake. Relations between both nations began to deteriorate when the Kitexian Government cancelled the AFTA on 30 November 2010 due to economic problems.
Kitex soon reformed into Blue Heaven. Relations between the two nations began to improve when Blue Heaven joined the Confederation of Arctic Nations, an international organization that Disparu is a part of.
The Blue Heaven Ambassador to Disparu is Suzy Alf. The Blue Heaven Embassy in Jubilife has a lounge room, as well as domestic quarters large enough to house the Blue Heaven mission's staff. The embassy is protected by ten Blue Heaven Marine guards, however they are also monitored in case of any possible security concerns, similar to other embassies protected by foreign guards. The Disparuean Ambassador to Kitexian is Jorge Samuelson.

Foreign relations between Caucasia and Disparu began on 15 August 2009 when Caucasia exchanged embassies with Disparu through DEEP. Caucasia has helped Disparu construct most of the monuments located in Darach Park at Jubilife. Relations between Caucasia and Disparu were strained during the Caucasian News Channel scandal, which involved a Caucasian network accusing Chancellor Cynthia Celeste of several violations of Disparuean law. Due to Caucasia's liberal laws regarding the media, the Caucasian Government was unable to do anything in order to stop the news channel. Although the News Channel has stopped these accusations due to the Disparuean Government's outrage (rumours also state that the Government of Disparu had to bribe the news channel in order to make it cease its accusations), the scandal continues to affect normal relations between the two nations until today.
The Caucasian Ambassador to Disparu is Brandon Hill. The Caucasian Embassy in Jubilife is protected by twenty guards from Caucasia, although these guards are heavily monitored in case of any threats. The Disparuean Ambassador to Caucasia is Sally Murphy.

Foreign relations between Eagleia and Disparu began on 4 August 2009 when the Government of Eagleia, with permission from the Disparuean Government, sent a Police Squadron to Jubilife during the Darach Crisis, and helped Disparu's Special Operations capture the assassin responsible for the death of Queen Darach, along with two of his accomplices. Foreign relations were formalized on 5 August 2009 when the Foreign Minister of Eagleia sent a message to the Disparuean Government, welcoming the Government to exchange embassies with Eagleia in order to establish good diplomatic relations between the two nations. The embassy exchange was announced to the public on 6 August 2009.
The Eagleian Ambassador to Disparu is George Hanover, assisted by the Deputy Ambassador Mary Mackenzie.

The Federated States of America is currently one of Disparu's most important allies on the international stage. Foreign relations between the Federated States of America and Disparu began on 16 August 2009 when one of the Federated States of America's predecessors, New England, exchanged embassies with Disparu through DEEP. Foreign relations between Disparu and the Federated States of America was strengthened by the signing of the Good Neighbor Treaty, an economic, military, friendship and mutual defence treaty, on 26 August 2009. Articles V and VI of the Good Neighbour Treaty were activated during the coup d'état by The United Organization against the Great Lakes States' government, when the violence began to reach the borders of both the Federated States of America and Disparu. A joint American and Disparuean force eventually invaded the Great Lakes States, which was falling into anarchy and chaos, defeated most of The United Organization's forces, and restored order and the Great Lakes State's proper government. New England has also helped Disparu launch its first satellite into orbit. The Federated States of America and Disparu have also worked together on other space-related projects, such as the construction and launch of the Leclerc-Sarkara Space Telescope, an infrared telescope.
The American Ambassador to Disparu is Kirk Sweeney. The American embassy in Jubilife is protected by a pair of vicious but friendly German shepherds, which were retrieved from a local animal shelter by the Government of Disparu. The embassy is also protected by Embassy Guards from the Federated States of America, however, unlike other embassies protected by foreign guards, these guards are not kept under constant surveillance. The Disparuean Ambassador to the Federated States of America is Evelyn Chapman.

Foreign relations between Großgermania and Disparu began on 28 August 2009, when both nations exchanged embassies via DEEP. While some Disparuean government officials and bloggers have criticized several of Großgermania's policies, the Government of Disparu as a whole has officially applauded several Germanian policies and initiatives, such as its happiness-based economy. Disparuean Minister of Environment Erika Gardenia has applauded Großgermania's environmental protection efforts, while Disparuean Minister of Education Gary Oak has officially stated that he supports the planned Germanian secondary school system, although Oak has also expressed his dissatisfaction with the Großgermanian Government's encouragement of homeschooling. The current Disparuean Empire Party Government has also expressed interest in sending a delegation to Berlin for an environmental conference to be held in February 2011. An official Disparuean team will also be sent to participate in the XXI Olympic Winter Games, which will be held in Frankfurt am Main, Großgermania.
The Großgermanian Ambassador to Disparu is Wilhelm Mitchell, while the Disparuean Ambassador to Großgermania is Niklas Winkel.

Foreign relations between J Andres and Disparu began on 27 August 2009 when Disparu applied for an embassy in J Andres via SPEED shortly after the announcement of its independence from New England (now known as the Federated States of America). Foreign relations between the Old Dominion and Disparu was once nonexistent, and could be considered hostile, as Disparu refused to establish relations with the Old Dominion due to the Old Dominion's former discriminative laws against certain groups of people. However, relations began to normalize when a new Old Dominion Government was elected and all discriminative laws were repealed and replaced with severe anti-discrimination laws. The Old Dominion eventually applied for an embassy via DEEP on 17 November 2009.
The Old Dominion Ambassador to Disparu is Roger McDowd, while the Disparuean Ambassador to the Old Dominion is Charlot Gervais. The Old Dominion's Government had originally requested that their embassy in Jubilife should look similar to the Wawel Cathedral in Poland, however the Disparuean Government denied this request, opting for a more modernistic design.

The Selenarctan Embassy in Jubilife is protected by a ten-man security team from Selenarctos armed with SG 550 assault rifles. Like other embassies that are protected by foreign soldiers, the security team's actions are continuously monitored in case of any possible security concerns.

Foreign relations between Disparu and Texas began on 28 November 2010, when Disparu applied for an embassy exchange under a Texan governmental initiative. Relations between Disparu and Texas had been good even before a Disparuean embassy was established in Texas. Disparu had supported the Commonwealth of Texas during a Cold War between Mexico (which was being supported by the deposed Texan Imperial Family and several other nations). Relations between the two nations further improved when Disparu and Texas announced and signed a free trade agreement and a mutual defence pact between the two nations on 1 February 2011. The Texan Ambassador to Disparu is Crystal Wojtyla, while the Disparuean Ambassador to Texas is Pamela Winstead.

Foreign relations between Disparu and Vanivere began on 17 November 2010, when the Vaniveran Government applied for an embassy via DEEP, becoming one of the first nations from Gaea to establish relations with Disparu. The Vaniveran Ambassador to Disparu is Edvard de Monpezat. The Vaniveran Embassy in Jubilife is one of the rare buildings in the city that isn't modern in design or architecture. There were originally plans for the Vaniveran Ambassadorial Guard to protect the Vaniveran Embassy in Disparu, and act as ceremonial guards, however this plan was scrapped shortly after the Ambassador's arrival in Jubilife. The Disparuean Ambassador to Vanivere is Demi Goudreau.
