Gauntletia is a constituent country of the Californian Union and semi-protectorate situated in the former lands of northern California, with people of mostly Caucasian descent. Its leader, Averiex, was an American-born African American but later departed from the US after the dissolution of the United States of America. Gauntletia is one of the three only promcapablic nations in the entire world (the others being the United States of JBR and Frankmerica).
The nation is ruled by a duumvirate presidency composed of only one head, Averiex who seems to have a literal iron fist with a gauntlet and killed whomever displeased him. The nation was created by the President who was supported by the United States of JBR and formerly, the nation was applying to the New Pacific Order. The country was relatively low in income and practically depleted of its surplus resources but however, the country was looking for more tax increases in the future, which worried the distressed citizens.
The nation of Gauntletia eventually lost interest with the New Pacific Order and started to look for a new alliance. The United States of JBR continued to support the nation of Gauntletia but the two soon departed ways; rarely meeting up with each other. Gauntletia later applied to the SOS Brigade after being considered by President Justin Vuong, JBR's leader. However, Gauntletia lost its interest in that as well and became unaligned.

Etymology

Gauntletia's name is named after the ruler's obsession of gauntlets and his literal iron fist.
HistoryEdit
Gauntletia began off as a small colony of the United States of JBR based in the Monterey County, California. Originally, it was situated in Beijing during the government's personal retreat. After returning, it became a protectorate soon after and eventually gained nationhood. Gauntletia is still considered a semi-protectorate of the United States of JBR although the two have became more distant from each other. Gauntletia adopted the promcapablic government borrowed from the United States of JBR and struggled with it as its economy was very poor. Gauntletia was originally going to join the New Pacific Order but later decided to join the SOS Brigade. The country has recently shown efforts to improve its military for the near future.

Government and electionsEdit
Gauntletia is a promcapablic nation which is a sophisticated form of government. The head of state is the President which actually consists of two persons: the Imperial and Regent Presidents (note that Gauntletia only has one literal president meaning he is both Imperial and Regent). The President is also considered a duumvirate. Next in power is the Monarch and the other members of a body known as the Upper Executive Committee. These leaders are part of the Executive Branch which exercises executive, legislative, and judicial power. Despite the fact that these leaders have the most power in government, there are three other minor branches that also play a role and slightly balance the power. This includes the Congress, the main legislative front; the Supreme Court, the main judicial front; and the People's, the branch reserved for the civilians. The Executive Branch holds a near-absolute power although are only given permission to rule by the People's authorization as coded in the Introduction to Promcapablicism and its Explanation where the people are known as the "child" and the government is the submitted parent that are both bounded together in exchange and contraction or a social contract. The government of Gauntletia mirrors that of the United States of JBR's.
Military and foreign relationsEdit
Because Gauntletia is a semi-protectorate of JBR, it is neither protected by JBR nor bounded to have no military presence within its border. Gauntletia maintains its own army known as the Imperial Armed Forces of Gauntletia and led by a Supreme Field Marshal. On the terms of foreign relations, it is a sub-ally of JBR but openly neutral with others. It is currently pending on status to enter the SOS Brigade and it is possible that Gauntletia may soon conduct diplomacy with SOS Brigade members. Gauntletia has recently researched a way to build more tanks and the country is known for stockpiling large numbers of soldiers. Unlike JBR, conscription is required in Gauntletia—unusual in a promcapablic nation.
