The Governor General of Eagleia is the vice regal representative of Her Majesty the Queen in Eagleia. The Governor General takes precedence over everyone else in Eagleia, except the Sovereign. The job of the Governor General is to represent and carry out all duties of state of the Head of State of Eagleia (who is the Sovereign). This same role is covered on State level by a Governor of a State.
The Governor General is directly appointed by the Queen. The Governor General serves at Her Majesty's pleasure with no set term. The Office of Governor-General is second only to the Sovereign, and the Governor-General takes immediate precedence after the Monarch.
The role of the Governor General is a powerful one. It is he who appoints the Prime Minister and other Ministers after an election. He who appoints Prefects to the States to represent the Federation, as well as Prefects to Territories to head them. The Governor General also appoints a new Chief Justice and fellow Justices, etc, etc.
