Genesis of the ZanbatoEdit

The Zanbato formed, not as a party, but as an idea. Many people in the southern American Empire felt that the Government was incompetent. All it did was sit around and build useless bridges while people suffered. On May 8, 20XX, a few close friends sat down to a meal of Shrimp Gumbo in New Orleans, and discussed revolution. The friend, after downing much liquor, dedided on an ideal Government: Constitutional Oligarchy. The Government would have a three person Executive Branch, with each member wielding an equal amount of power. Each member would represent one of the Three areas that the friends decided that Federal Government should concern itself with: Foreign Policy, Economics, and the National Law. Togethor, they formed a giant sword, a Zanbato. Foreign Policy was the Blade, Economics the Hilt, and Law the Scabbard. The Zanbato had been formed from the Steel Forge of Whiskey.

The Blade StrikesEdit

The friends started inviting more people over for their political parties. People would discuss ideologies, and whenever someone said "Advance", people would take a shot of Whiskey. In this way, Many new ideas were formed, most being brilliant at the time, but in reality mere jib jab. On Mardi Gras of 20XX+1, revelers stormed the state house. They were not drunk this year, nor flashing for beads. They were an army of Revolutionaries. When at last, the State House fell, the three planners of the revolution, the three friends declared the Nation of the Zanbato to be the ruling faction and State of all of Louisiana and many miles of ocean. They declared an unbuilt city, named Algernon to be the capitol. The Constitution of the Zanbato was drafted one week later.

Constitutional OligarchyEdit

The constitution detailed three branches; The Executive, The Legislative, and the Judicial. The Executive contained the Three Friends as oligarchs.

The Oligarchs were: Vladamir Cuzco: Original host of Gumbo dinner, declared leader and founder by friends. First in War, First in Peace, and First in the annual Wine brewer's competition every year. Economic Oligarch, officially Hilt.

Saint Auger: Literally named Saint, he organized the Mardi Gras uprising. After the Revolution he led as general, setting a precedent for all Foreign Policy Oligarchs to come. Pushed expansion all the way to the border of Louisiana, and conquered much of Texas. Established Port Auger, the nation's largest city. Officially Blade.

Michael Arch: Silent, and less boastful, Michael was a national enigma. He wrote many memorable lines and developed the nation's laws. established that the Federal Government should mostly leave people alone. Law Oligarch, Officially Scabbard.

ExpansionEdit

As the American Empire crumbled, the Zanbato dared to take its place. Many areas ceded themselves to the Zanbato, speeding growth. As technology, one of Auger and Cuzco's priorities, rose, the nation became nuclear capable. The nation has decided not to purchase nuclear weapons, and instead to make delicous wines, as they had done for years.
