Nation InformationEdit

Katamaristan is a growing, somewhat developed, and old nation at 235 days old with citizens primarily of Mixed ethnicity whose religion is Judaism. It is a backwards nation when it comes to technology and many refer to it unkindly as a 'Third World Nation'. Its citizens pay extremely high taxes and many despise their government as a result. The citizens of Katamaristan work diligently to produce Aluminum and Marble as tradable resources for their nation. It is a mostly neutral country when it comes to foreign affairs. It will usually only attack another nation if attacked first. Katamaristan is currently researching nuclear technology for the use of nuclear power plants but believes nuclear weapons should be banned. Plans are on the way within Katamaristan to open new rehabilitation centers across the nation and educate its citizens of the dangers of drug use. Katamaristan allows its citizens to openly protest their government, even if it means violence. It has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country they will have to become citizens first. Katamaristan believes in the freedom of speech and feels that it is every citizen's right to speak freely about their government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. Katamaristan will not make deals with another country that has a history of inhuman treatment of its citizens.

Growth MilestonesEdit

21 June 2012: Katamaristan purchases a Harbor, its first improvement.

29 June 2012: Katamaristan begins its first wars (see the Wars section for details), and breaks 1,000 Nation Strength for the first time.

25 July 2012: With the end of the war between MHA and GATO/LoSS/Hooligans/etc, Katamaristan purchases a Foreign Ministry, but drops under 3,000 Nation Strength with the decommissioning of much of its military forces.

15 August 2012: With a massive purchase of infrastructure, Katamaristan breaks 5,000 Nation Strength for the first time, and buys its first Banks and Stadiums.

16 October 2012: Mainly through purchase of infrastructure, Katamaristan breaks 10,000 Nation Strength for the first time. In combination with the booming expansion, Katamaristan builds a national Stock Market, its first National Wonder.

WarsEdit

Summer 2012Edit

Katamaristan's first war was that of the MHA against GATO. The MHA was countered by Hooligans and LoSS, among others. Katamaristan joined the war on June 29, 2012, and was not anarchied until July 5, when it accidentally deployed too many of its troops. It was not anarchied otherwise at any point in the war and did not suffer a defeat alert. The MHA withdrew from the war on July 24, 2012.

Of the 13 nations Katamaristan fought in this war, 9 went into anarchy, while another accepted PoW terms.

Winter 2013Edit

Katamaristan's next military involvement was in the MHA's war against ODN as part of the Equilibrium coalition, starting on January 22, 2013. More details are not available at this time, but will be revealed at the end of the war.
