MHA-Sparta MDoAP

After many a round of Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters, a Hitchhiker from MHA had an epic hangover - he needed an epic hangover cure. Where else to go but the most epic place in the universe? Sparta was the destination. Upon landing, out a Spartan warrior came, glistening from head to toe in the sweat of battle. The Hitchhiker from the MHA staggered up to the stone-forged stand and ordered 42 Souvlakis, all with extra garlic sauce. "This is madness," Sparta boomed at the migraine-wracked sojourner. "No, " The Hitchhiker replied, voice shaky from too many botTtles of retsina. "This is MHA." Laughing heartily, he outstretched his bulky hand to which the Hitchhiker met with his. From that encounter, Sparta and MHA agreed to cement their friendship in this, the Pan Galactic Souvlaki Accords.
[edit] Article 1: Taramosalata
- The Mostly Harmless Alliance and Sparta, (herein, "the Signatories") committed to peace, order and prosperity, and to each other, agree to refrain from the commission of any acts of aggression or espionage against the other.
- In the event of a breach of Section A by a member nation of either signatory, both agree to provide timely and effective redress.
- To solidify their friendship and foster greater camaraderie between their memberships, the Signatories pledge to maintain and encourage regular, courteous and collegial communication between them.
[edit] Article 2: Passing the Metaxa
- The Signatories shall share with each other any information, which may be of tactical, strategic or diplomatic interest or importance to the other.
- In the event a Signatory plans to sign a new defensive treaty with a third party, they shall inform the other signatory prior to the signing of said treaty.
[edit] Article 3: Intergalactic Baklava
- The Signatories shall henceforth consider an attack upon the other as an attack upon themselves.
- The signatories agree to commit to each other such military, financial and diplomatic resources and assistance as may be requested by the attacked signatory as soon as possible.
- Each signatory also reserves the right to withhold from requesting such aid.
[edit] Article 4: Unsheathing Swords
Should a time come when wet towels be flicked, or Spathas drawn in anger, then both Signatories shall have the privilege of asking the other for their support and assistance, though not to compel it.
[edit] Article 5: Blasting Plates and Madness
- This treaty may be cancelled unilaterally by either signatory or by common consent.
- 72 Hours notice of this cancellation must be given.
- During the cancellation notice period, the treaty remains fully in effect.
[edit] Article 6: The Enactment Party
The Governments of The Mostly Harmless Alliance and Sparta by and with the consent of their memberships do hereby enact this treaty, with immediate effect, on this the 18th of January, 2009, and proclaim their fealty before the witnesses of planet Bob.
