A Malayo-Polynesian language spoken in the Eastern provinces of Cataduanes Island. like its sister language,Cataduaño , a descendent of the extinct Merdicasian language but it has retained its Malay character in both its Vocabulary and grammar, the spanish influnce being limited to numbers and some articles.
It is recognised as a semi official language of the Cataduanes nation while in Samal province & Subanon city distict it has joint status alongside Cataduaño and Spanish.
