Nederland was founded on the first day of march 2006 after being invited to the game by Pope Hope, one of the founders of ODN. It has got an ADN and RLA background in NationStates.
Nederland was given the resource package Cattle & Gold, a rare combination.
Nederland became a member of the orange team and the ODN shortly after its founding. It remained in a low-key position during the rest of 2006. During GW3 in 2007 Nederland was almost ZI-ed by massive goons attacks. Nederland left the ODN in April 2007 and became a member of the Dutch FOK alliance. Its leader Amicus curiae was chosen as the first President of the Alliance High Court. In oktober 2007 Amicus became statesecretary of justice. On november the 27th 2007 Nederland left the FOK alliance to become a member of The Order of the Paradox (TOP). On march the first 2008, two years after its founding, Nederland came back to FOK and became minister of defense in the new government of FOK president mrcyber. During his second term he decided to resign.
In February 2010, Nederland became once again a member of the ODN.
