The Pikachurin kidnapping incident (occasionally referred correctly as the Willow kidnapping incident) was a government and security crisis regarding the abduction of the Pikachurins, the Vice Monarchy of the United States of JBR and former monarchy of Disparu. The crisis sparked off during the Battle of Jubilife and caused public outcry and confusion. While later on, the Willows were discovered to have impersonated the Pikachurins all along, most historians continue to refer to them as the Pikachurins in this particular event.

AbductionEdit

The Pikachurin family arrived to the nearly abandoned city of Jubilife on the outskirts of JBRican territory of New Disparu on March 11, 2011 after a long week at JBR City. They retreated to Château Jubilife (PDS)Château Jubilife where they were quickly assaulted by an organization known as the Disparuean Independence Movement. The Secret Service of the United States of JBR quickly came to assistance and were ordered by the New Disparuean government to transport the family to residence of Jacques Pétain, the territorial governor of New Disparu. Soon, the Disparuean Independence Movement ordered a small number of soldiers to open fire at the sedan that carried Lance, Maylene, and Max Pikachurin, a chauffeur, and 5 armed Secret Service agents. The sedan was stopped en route to the Governor's House where the territorial governor of New Disparu lived. The Secret Service agents were outnumbered and immediately called for help. All five were immediately killed and the chauffeur was flogged and left in a trash can in an alley. The Pikachurins were abducted shortly before the Pro-JBRican forces reached the scene. The Disparuean Independence Movement opened fire and were soon joined by the Anti-JBRican League.

Rescue missionEdit

Immediately after the publication of the Pikachurins' abduction, journalists and the media flocked to JBR City to receive news of the rewards posted for the rescue of the Pikachurins and capture of Roy. The President also declared that a search and rescue mission be operated. Several helicopters and tanks were deployed to New Disparu to find the Pikachurins. The Deltoran Republic declared war on AIL and her allies; including DIM, and has become supported of the rescue of the Pikachurins. At the time, there was consideration to put New Disparu and its surrounding areas under lockdown and confinement from outside contact. Emperor Zabuza Hashimoto of the Union of Midway soon asked Midway's Office of State Security to set the rescue of the Pikachurins to one of the highest priorities. The mission was resolved in the Battle of Rescue when the Pikachurins were saved. A total of $15 million were granted to Private Jim Kyles, the prime rescuer of the Pikachurins. Francis Roy's reward became invalid after the President granted him a commutation.

Aftermath and namingEdit

Weeks later, the Pikachurins in this event were actually the Willow Family, a family of politicians who were hired unintentionally by Theresa Vales to rupture Vuong's image. While there remains controversy over this impersonation, it is not generally taken into account in this event. While the event is correctlty referred as the "Willow kidnapping incident", most historians continue to refer it as the "Pikachurin kidnapping incident".
