The Recruiting Department emerged in its current form in April 2007. This was a project started by TrotskysRevenge and Sir Donald R. Deamon. While there was a version of the RC before this, those two are the ones responsible for the way it is structured today.
The ultimate goal of the RC is simple. Bring in new members on a daily basis. Currently there is a push to achieve 1000 members in the NPO. The day to day duties of the Recruiters Corps is to contact new CN players and convince them to join the NPO. They also talk to players who have been here for awhile who remain unaligned and try and convince them the NPO is the right place to call home.
The Recruiters Corps has set records on Planet Bob for recruiting, and plans to continue their record breaking feats. The Recruitment Corps is broken up into three distinct sections.

[edit] RC Divisions
In early December 2008, the RC underwent a restructure resulting in the following.
[edit] Research and Development
Research and Development was founded around December 2008 under the leadership of then Head Hunter Tombed. Research and Development studies recruitment methods as well as keeping track of in-game numbers and compiling statistics. R&D also looks into ways to better the Recruitment Corps both technically and through in-game messages itself.
[edit] List Division
The List Division operates in conjunction with the New Nations Division. The List Division however focuses its efforts on older nations in CN, compiling mailing lists to dispatch to them to inform them about the benefits of joining the NPO and also inviting them to visit the NPO forum.
[edit] New Nations Division
The New Nations Division focuses on messaging the newer members of CN after they join the game itself. The New Nations Division has always played a prominent part in the RC and continues to as the main source of new recruits.
[edit] Accolades and Competitions
[edit] 1V Recruiting Competition
During two weeks in January 2009 One Vision held a recruitment competition. After two hard weeks the NPO Recruiters corps shone through with a massive 114 recruits, compared to the Multicolored Cross-X Alliance who were in second place with 66 recruits. This was followed up by GGA on 40, IRON on 36 and finally Echelon on 6.
