SOS Brigade HQ is a medium sized, highly developed, and aging nation at 721 days old with citizens primarily of Japanese ethnicity who follow no religion. Its technology is first rate and its citizens marvel at the astonishing advancements within their nation. Its citizens pay extremely high taxes and many despise their government as a result. The citizens of SOS Brigade HQ work diligently to produce Fish and Sugar as tradable resources for their nation. The government has no definite position on foreign affairs at this time. It believes nuclear weapons are necessary for the security of its people. The military of SOS Brigade HQ has been positioned at all border crossings and is arresting all drug traffickers. SOS Brigade HQ allows its citizens to openly protest their government, even if it means violence. It has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country they will have to become citizens first. SOS Brigade HQ believes in the freedom of speech and feels that it is every citizen's right to speak freely about their government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. The government of SOS Brigade HQ will trade with any other country regardless of ethical consequences.
Current Affairs
New Brigade military doctrine, commissioned in the aftermath of the Karma War, has been successfully implemented, with a complete overhaul of all command and control structures and research and development facilities. New, centralized locations for wartime communication and weapons development will allow for greatly enhanced military capability within the Brigade. Beyond these improvements, further development has taken place in infrastructure throughout the HQ, augmented by a steady flow of technology from defeated Hegemony-aligned nations.
