Silentism is the state ideology of Socialistic Empire, named after the alliances founder and Supreme Commissar - Silent.

Originally Silentism was created by an -SE- Member (the -SE- IntelCom since the First of July) - Subcomandante Marcos. On the 3rd of June he posted an article called "The Principles of Silentism" and proposed to use it as the official -SE- Ideology. The matter was never actually put up for real discussions until the rise of -SE- Loyalists now known as "Silentists", who made Silentism-related posters. This finally brought the matter of Silentism for official vote, and the vote resulted with the majority of -SE- members voting for the authorization of Silentism as the official Socialistic Empire Ideology.

Silentism

Silentism Silentism is the political system named after Silent: Supreme Commissar of the Socialistic Empire. It includes an extensive belief and affirmation of leftist pluralism, promoting all leftist ideologies incorporated with a strong, centralized type of government. Like many other "-isms" it can be used as a pejorative term when referring to members of the Socialistic Empire, Communist or non-Communist, who are perceived as particularly authoritarian or hard-line. Silentist government is organized under a hierarchy of a Supreme Commissar (Supcom) overseeing the Commissariat. Defense Commissar (DefCom), Intelligence Commissar (IntelCom), Economics Commissar (EconCom), Social Commissar (SoCom), and Diplomacy Commissar (DipCom). Silentism despite being authoritarian does not suppress Civil Liberties although all citizens of the Socialistic Empire are expected to follow a high moral code.

Silentism As Political Theory "Silentism", strictly speaking, refers to an interpretation of a style of government, rather than an ideology per se. The term "Silentism" is used by pro-Silent leftists themselves to denote the brand of leftist pluralism theory that dominates the Socialistic Empire, it is unknown whether critics use the term to describe the political government of -SE-. After the fall of the Socialist Workers Front two brands of leftist thinking developed authoritarian leftist pluralism and anti-authoritarian leftist pluralism shown in the government structure of the Libertarian Socialist Federation.

Silentist Economic Policy Silentism in the Socialistic Empire is comprised of multi-color Republics who are under the jurisdiction of a Republic Chairman. The Five Year Plans and Nation Building Guide implemented by Danielson emphasized the overriding aim of which was to make the Socialistic Empire a force to be reckoned with on the world stage.

  1. Forming perfect Trades after complying to The Nation Building Guide.
  2. Use of aid chains
  3. Implementing goals for the use of aid.
  4. Goal to maximize infrastructure to the fullest extent.

Points of view on Silentism The Socialistic Empire has received criticism from the other large leftist alliance called the Libertarian Socialist Federation. The LSF has condemned as what they perceived as a "Stalinist" dictatorship. Supporters of Silent however counter with the fact that most members who join are content with the relative safety the -SE- has since it adopts a policy of "Aggressive Defense" and a no first strike policy. Similarly, they are no ideological repressions. Silentists also point out that any citizen is free to join or leave -SE- without any pressure. Although Silent expresses an approval of Stalinism, -SE- itself is not exclusively Stalinist.

Silentism

Silentism Silentism is the political system named after Silent: Supreme Commissar of the Socialistic Empire. It is the ideology of leftist pluralism, in which all leftist ideologies are tolerated. Silentism incorporates a strong, centralized, and organized type of government. The government organization is a hierarchal system. The Socialistic Empire is formed similar to a military system. Although -SE- members are permitted to speak their mind(given it is not hate speech) inside of the Empire, they are required to abide by The Code of Discipline(CoDe) whenever they venture onto other alliance forums or the CN forums.

Political Doctrine

1) Allied Consensus There is a prejudice from other "democratic" alliances that the Socialistic Empire lacks democracy. This is a wrong view, the Socialistic Empire is in fact very democratic. The practice in the Socialistic Empire is to discuss the implementation of a policy and members are allowed to freely give their views and add to the policy should they see fit. The discussions sometimes last for days allowing for every possible criticism to be voiced, and then the Supreme Commissar implements the policy, which has support of the membership.

2) The People's Vanguard In the last months of the Supreme Commissar's absense a de-facto vanguard has guided the Socialistic Empire and had allowed for continual discussions and improvement policies in the Socialistic Empire, creating and enforcing existing -SE- domestic policy. The Vanguard of the Socialistic Empire had included the most active members and the greatest contributors to -SE- policy, which included the Commissariat and other active members. This Vanguard guarantees the progress of the Socialistic Empire since they have proven that The People's Empire stood strong despite a missing SupCom, DefCom, and DipCom.

3) Aggressive Defense Aggressive Defense is perhaps the oldest of -SE- political doctrines, and probably the most familiar. In coordination with the Code of Discipline, Aggressive Defense has increased the odds that the Socialistic Empire would never be attacked since it operates on a "no first strike" policy. However, this does not mean the Socialistic Empire does not invest in its defenses. The Defense Commissar of the People's Empire has stressed militarization in individual nations and installed marshals to each division of the Imperial People's Army: Peasant Sickle, People's Star, Worker's Hammer, Guerrilla Army, and Death Hand.

4) Self-Reliance Self-Reliance should be considered on economic as well as political policy of the Socialistic Empire. It is political since the People's Empire has expressed an interest in a move to the black trading sphere, the color black in -SE- represents power and is one of the three official alliance colors. Self-Reliance also is an economic policy which places internal trades and the formation of such over external ones. The logic being that the resources would be better placed in common ownership inside of the Socialistic Empire. Prior to this move the Socialistic Empire had a Color Republic system to attract members of different colors. The Republics were run by Chairmen who were charged with responsibility of keeping trades inside of the Republic. However, self-analysis has proved this practice to be ineffective since most trades had been kept outside of the Republic, Presently, the People's Empire has secured its most desirable resources and has over 1/3 of the membership making the switch to the Black Sphere in the week of the order from the Supreme Commissar.

Economic Policy The Socialistic Empire since the disbandment of the Color Republics has made a great leap to Socialism by stressing common ownership of its most important resources. Here the Socialistic Empire has made its greatest achievements. In the past the -SE- Five Year Plans had been the most important of -SE- Economic Plans. However, the requirements of perfect trades made the aid unaccessible to nations who did not have the required resources. However, this problem was overcome by the implementation of the Imperial Banks, Imperial Trade Center, Aid Chains Center, and the discontinuation of the Five Year Plans, and the ironical adoption of the New Economic Policy. In coordination with the move to black and stressing of internal trades, The New Economic Policy had abandoned the prerequisite for perfect trades that the Five Year Plans had adopted and abandoned this to make the NEP much more lenient.

Silentism Presently With the sharp decline of the Libertarian Socialist Federation, the Socialistic Empire leads the left as the largest and strongest alliance on the left. Other alliances on the left include the other leftist pluralist alliance called the Communist Party of Cybernations (CPCN), and the New Worker's Front (NWF).
