Talk:Infrastructure

From the Cyber Nations Wiki, the wiki dedicated to the Cyber Nations Game.

Is the population increase from Infrastructure a one time thing, or daily? It's a one-time thing at purchase, I believe. I just purchased 1.515 infra and got 11 extra pop.

[edit] Transaction Effect

According to admin on the CN forums, the number of transactions that have taken place DOES factor in the infrastructure upkeep cost: "Once your infrastructure level passes 20 you will begin to notice the price of infrastructure go up by 1.5 x your total number of infrastructure purchases. This is a result of supply and demand on your infrastructure." feb 8, 2006 Is the information in this article correct in saying that transactions DON'T have an affect? and the admin just hasn't updated the forum post?

On a related note, could the exact formula for calculating the infra cost be added to the article? I have been trying to figure it out myself with little success. Hertzy Scowicz 20:57, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Infra Cost / Upkeep totals

I computed the total cost for infra cost as:

 • The resources: 7%+4%+5%+6%+10%+3%=35%
 • The bonus resources: 2%+5%=7%
 • The interstate system: 8%

That leaves us with 50%. I added the factories, 8% each, five times, so that would make it 40% with factories for a total of a whopping 90%! Could this be true? Upkeep:

 • Resources: 10%+8%+3%=21%
 • Bonus resources: 5%
 • Interstate system: 8%

Total is 34%. Then add five Labor Camps (10% each) for a total of another huge 84%. Neither of these can be right, right? 75.60.188.47 15:25, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry I don't know the proper format to posting this... but I just wanna say that's wrong. You can't add percents like that, you have to do like... 93%*96%*95%... The max is actually -64.23% cost and -64.90% I know this is right... it's not arguable ;) lol I know it because I've calculated the ratio with and without the resources/improvements before... Yeah, I'm nuts lol
