The Dark Templar
[edit] Article I - Preamble
We, sovereign members of The Dark Templar, hereby bind ourselves to the principles and ideals of this charter including but not limited to excellence, intelligence, unity, and honor. The Dark Templar shall forever remain a federation of nations resolute on prosperity, commerce, mutual defense, and brotherhood.
[edit] Article II – Membership
Section I - Admission a) All nations wishing to apply to The Dark Templar must complete the following requirements: -Submit an initial application on the official alliance forums -Change their Alliance Affiliation to “The Dark Templar Applicant” -Must be able to check forums and IRC -Must not be in war at time of application and must not be blacklisted by any alliances -Exemptions may be awarded on individual circumstances b) Interview may be conducted during the application process on the forums or on IRC. -Interviews will serve to gauge the applicant of Cybernations competency as well as getting to know the character of the applicant -Applicant should answer all questions directed at him/her truthfully -Observers will decide whether to admit the applicant
Section II – Probe Status a) Should the Observers accept an applicant, then the applicant is now considered a “Probe.” Probes are bound to the following regulations: -Shall change Alliance Affiliation to "DT Probes" -Shall switch to black trading sphere within the next 10 days of membership (unless otherwise granted permission not to) -Probes will not engage in tech raids or war, unless instructed by government b) Graduating Requirements -Must have been in Probe status for at least 10 days -Must have at least 2000 infrastructure or 10,000 strength -Must have trades in order (as deemed fit by the Observers) -Must maintain IRC activity as well as forum activity - Nation settings, trades, and other information will also be used to determine whether the applicant is passed or denied at this stage c) Graduating Procedures -Shall inform a member of the Observers of fulfilling graduating requirements -A member of the Observers will review whether or not the Probe has fulfilled all requirements and will pass or fail the Probe -A Probe may graduate regardless of graduating requirement if a member of dragoon or higher status vouches for the Probe in which a 2/3 vote in favor of the Probe from the Observers is passed. -When a Probe graduates, he receives the rank of zealot.
Section III – Zealots a) Attributes -Shows willingness to learn and be a part of The Dark Templar -Shows dedication and willingness to help the alliance -Is somewhat of an example of the ideals that DT was founded upon, listed briefly in the preamble -Has, at the very least, minimum IRC activity -Has some knowledge of Cybernations -Has minimum forum activity -Has, at least, 2,000 infrastructure or 10,000 strength b) Privileges -Is a full member of the alliance -Is eligible for any inter-alliance programs (i.e. financial, educational, or diplomatic) -Can be appointed to positions (not eligible for elections)
Section IV – Dragoons a) Attributes -Is a part of The Dark Templar and its community -Shows strong dedication and willingness to help the alliance -Is an example of the ideals that DT was founded upon, listed briefly in the preamble -Has medium IRC activity -Has proficient or medium knowledge of Cybernations -Has medium forum activity -Has, at least, 3,000 infrastructure or 15,000 strength -Has at least 30 days of alliance seniority b) Privileges -Is entitled to any privileges that probes and zealots have -May begin to tech raid at his own discretion -May become a military officer (excluding battalion leaders and above)
Section V – Templars a) Attributes -Is an integral part of The Dark Templar and its community -Shows extreme devotion and is always willing to help the alliance -Is a shining example of the ideals that DT was founded upon, listed briefly in the preamble -Has high IRC activity -Has excellent knowledge of Cybernations -Has high forum activity -Has, at least, 4,000 infrastructure or 20,000 strength b) Privileges -Is entitled to any privileges that probes, zealots, and dragoons have -Is now eligible for any elected positions (Observers, Archons, or Spokesmen) -May become a battalion leader -Has at least 60 days of alliance seniority
Section VI – Rank promotion and demotion/expulsion a) Promotion - At the end of each month, the Observers will audit every member of the alliance to gauge whether or not they deserve to be promoted -Members may inform Observers if they have fulfilled rank requirements before the end of the month -The Observers will then start a vote with 2/3 majority within 3 days of the member’s informing or the month’s end, and must be passed in favor of the member in question. Only members of DT higher than the member may vote in the polls. -Upon promotion, a new mask will be issued and all rights and privileges will be given to the member -Polls will be open for 72 hours and at least 50% of the alliance must be a part of this vote. -The Patriarch has the right to nullify the member in question’s polls should the Patriarch have any doubts about the member b) Demotion/Expulsion - At the end of each month, the Observers will audit every member of the alliance to gauge whether or not they deserve to be demoted -Any member may inform Observers of other members in DT who do not fulfill their rank requirements -The Observers may decide to demote or expel a member if he or she did not fulfill his rank’s requirements -Before action is taken, Observers must inform both the Archons and the Patriarch -The Patriarch may veto the Observer’s decision, leading to an alliance-wide vote in which 50% of the alliance must vote; majority wins -Members can only be demoted once per month. -Once a zealot is demoted, he is expelled from the alliance, but may re-apply upon good behavior -Members may not be demoted solely upon infrastructure or strength
[edit] Article III - Structure of Government
Section I – Archons a) Dark Archon - The Dark Archon will be the general leader of the alliance. - He/she will serve in the benefit of the alliance and will guide the alliance in a positive direction -The Dark Archon will have the final authority on matters, except for the membership. -The Dark Archon will be responsible for ensuring that the alliance is prospering and growing -The Dark Archon may and is responsible for all ministers, ensuring that they do their job -The Dark Archon has the authority to enact emergency powers, in which the Dark Archon may, with Conclave support, remove and appoint ministers to positions - The Dark Archon and the Twilight Archon not permitted to hold any other government positions. - The Dark Archon must not forget that his sole purpose is to serve the alliance, thus a two thirds no-confidence vote in The Conclave will recall The Dark Archon and the Twilight Archon will take over the position of The Dark Archon. - The Dark Archon may declare war and holds authority over peace and surrender terms. - The Dark Archon also holds authority in authorizing nuclear strikes - The Dark Archon handles all foreign affairs - When the Dark Archon is no more, or steps down from office, the Twilight Archon takes over as Dark Archon - Appoints the High Templars b) Twilight Archon - Appointed by the Dark Archon to help with his/her duties and affairs - The Twilight Archon will act as Dark Archon should the Dark Archon not be present or be away for an extended period of time. - The Twilight Archon has the same purpose and duties as the Dark Archon but answers to the Dark Archon
Section II – The Conclave a) Duties - The Conclave is the supreme governing body of The Dark Templar -The Conclave shall serve to reflect all values that The Dark Templar was founded upon -The Conclave is the general council of the alliance; it includes all members of the alliance with the rank of dragoon or higher b) Powers -When a vote is cast in the Conclave, the majority win, unless it pertains to membership in which Article II of this charter will account for rules of the vote. -The Conclave reserves the right to amend the charter, remove members, and generally preside over The Dark Templar -War declarations and treaties may be vetoed by Conclave -Appoints from their rank, Archons, Observers, High Templars, and Patriarchs c) The Patriarch -The Patriarch is voice of The Conclave -The Patriarch leads all Conclave discussions and reflects -He is elected from the Templars -It is his duty to keep the alliance informed of all CN politics and inner-alliance announcements.
Section III – High Templars a) Duties -To govern their respective field of expertise -Maintain the alliance day-to-day duties -Innovation in their respective fields -Guide the growth of the alliance b) Positions - High Templar of Finance will oversee the bank and all monetary transactions within the alliance - High Templar of War will oversee the military in war and peace - High Templar of Development will oversee internal affairs and alliance growth c) Details - High Templars will be elected from the Templar caste - High Templars must have some sort of ministerial experience or background - High Templars are appointed as seen fit by the Dark Archon
Section IV – Deputy High Templars a) Duties - They are to assist their respective High Templars with their duties - Deputies are to report to their respective High Templars b) Details - Deputy High Templars will be elected from dragoon class and upwards - Deputy High Templars are encouraged to have some sort of ministerial experience or background - May be used as training for those without ministerial experience - Deputies are elected
Section V – The Observers a) Details -The Observers consist of veteran members of the alliance -There will be four Observers -They hold no political power, only internal authority b) Duties -Observers will head all matters regarding membership -Observers will accept and interview applicants -Observers will promote and demote/expel members -Observers are bound by any specifications in the ranking section of the charter -Will handle all education within the alliance on all aspects of the game c) Requirements -Dedication to the alliance and its welfare -Very high activity on forums and IRC in accordance with their duties -Must be elected from the Templar caste
Section V – Elections
a) Requirements
-All government positions must be from the Templar caste (does not include secretaries or appointed persons)
-All government must reflect the ideals of this charter
c) Election Cycle 1
-Positions in this cycle include Deputy High Templar of Finance and (2) Observers
-Election Cycle 1 will take place first, exactly one month after Election Cycle 3
-The Patriarch will head the elections
c) Election Cycle 2
-Positions in this cycle include Deputy High Templar of Development and (2) Observers
-Election Cycle 2 will take place first, exactly one month after Election Cycle 1
-The Patriarch will head the elections
c) Election Cycle 3
-Positions in this cycle include Deputy High Templar of War, the Arbitor, and the Patriarch
-Election Cycle 3 will take place first, exactly one month after Election Cycle 2
-The Patriarch will head the elections
[edit] Article IV - Policies and Rights
Section III – Dont get your @$$ whooped Clause a) Details - This Clause only comes into effect after a nation has completed the Nuclear Development Policy. - Members that finish the Nuclear Development Policy will now be in place of the Dont get your @$$ whooped Clause which will require nations to (with DT’s help) develop a Strategic Defense Initiative for the protection of themselves and for an added advantage in war time.
Section IV – Desertion Policy a) Details - This policy only comes into effect while The Dark Templar are in a state of war. - While The Dark Templar is in an Alliance Alert Level of Defcon 1-3, no nations are allowed to leave or join the AA of The Dark Templar without approval from the Dark Archon or the Twlight Archon. - Breaking this policy and leaving in this time will give that nation One of Two options. 1. Return all aid given to them by The Dark Templar. 2. Nation will be sentenced to full ZI. - Any nation that leaves and goes to another alliance will be considered ghosting until the nation accepts one of the two choices listed above.
Section V – Alliance Alert system a) The Alliance Alert system will be used as a general gage of the state of the alliance. 1. Defcon 5- The Dark Templar is in a peace time state. 2. Defcon 4- War games or any other military activity.
- These Defcon Levels enact the Desertion Policy*
3. Defcon 3- The Dark Templar or Her allies are in a path of preconceived war. 4. Defcon 2- The Dark Templar or her allies have been attacked in an act of war. 5. Defcon 1- The Dark Templar is in a full state of war.
Section VI – Rights a) Powers - Any member may propose legislation, suggestions, or amendments to charter - Any member may start a no-confidence poll for any member of government in which a 75% vote of no confidence will repeal the member in question’s position of power. - May suggest possible promotions, demotions, or expelling to Observers b) Conclave - Any member of the alliance, with the rank of dragoon or higher, is part of the Conclave - May voice opinions and thoughts in Conclave discussions - Is encouraged to take part in voting c) Conduct - Members may voice their opinions and feelings -Members will be responsible for being orderly and civil both in private and in public -Will treat other members with respect[/color]

- On August 24th 2008, The Dark Templar got The Union of Nations to surrender, before even declaring war on them. [1]
- On September 7th 2008 SBA declared war on fant0m of Steveonia for tech raiding 3 of their nations. Nations from The Dark Templar responded to this act of aggression but white peace was declared shortly after [2]
- On March 19th 2009 DT declared war on Freak Safari in defense of their protectorate LSR who had been attacked by several members of Freak Safari. [3]
- On April 23rd 2009 DT declared war on The Phoenix Federation and SSSW18 thereby entering GW6 or the "Karma War". [4]
