United Commonwealth is a very large and new nation at 25 days old with citizens primarily of Caucasian ethnicity who follow no religion. Its technology is progressing moderately and its citizens enjoy an average amount of technological improvements within the nation. Its citizens pay moderately high tax rates and they are somewhat unhappy in their work environments as a result. The citizens of United Commonwealth work diligently to produce Iron and Coal as tradable resources for their nation. It is an aggressive country that some say has an itch for war. When it comes to nuclear weapons United Commonwealth will not research or develop nuclear weapons. The military of United Commonwealth has been positioned at all border crossings and is arresting all drug traffickers. United Commonwealth allows its citizens to protest their government but uses a strong police force to monitor things and arrest lawbreakers. It has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country they will have to become citizens first. United Commonwealth believes in the freedom of speech and feels that it is every citizens right to speak freely about their government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. United Commonwealth will not make deals with another country that has a poor history of inhuman treatment of its citizens.
History[]
In the beginning (House of Fergusson, 842-1005)[]

The written history of the United Commonwealth (UC) began in 842 AD when King Kenneth I of Fergusson founded the Kingdom of Galria, formally uniting the Kingdoms of Galloway and Cumbria (after the death of the King of Cumbria- Brian II) and establishing together a new capital- still known today as "Dumfries".
Between 842 and 1005, saw a changing UC with days of weakness and days of triumph. From 866 to 918 saw the UC fighting off Vikings, establishing alliances with nations that are now in the UC today. 945 till 1005 saw the threat of English Kingdom with its constant attacks on both UC nations and Scotland. However 950 saw a great triumph for the UC, with the successful liberation of Bernicia (then its own Kingdom, now Northumberland) and then in 955 a successful invasion of Ulster saw it come in to the UC temporarily.
In 1005, saw the end of the House of Fergusson, with King Michael II disowning himself from his family due to his cousin, who took the crown from him and nearly splitting the Kingdom. It was because of this he killed his cousin, got himself recrowned as King Michael Fergusson Elliot of Galria & Ulster and got the wheels really turning for forming the UC as we know it today.
