As the architect of the Operation Overlord operation I would like state unequivocally that it was NOT a test of WUT relations or NPO resolve. I was completely unaware of ties between NPO and the target. As a member of government, once convinced that these ties were legitament, I supported the standdown and believed the issue resolved until the events of June 18.
