Ytovian Churches The Fellowship of Ytovian Churches are a self-governing group of evangelical churches. They were formerly led by the Imm family during the early quasi-monarchal period, but the country is now a republic of the member churches. While mostly a peaceful nation, the Ytovians have been known to go to war in order to protect another nation.

History[]

Taoist Takeover. On April 25, 2007, Taoists gained access to the nation's quarterly conference and were able to force through measures dissolving control of the national government. Currently there is tension between the national government, whose officials are mostly Taoist, and the conference of evangelical churches. However, Ytovia's culture is traditionally business-like, so the chance of tensions turning into armed conflict is considered quite small.

The Evangelical Fellowship of Ytovian Churches is a small, devout nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population enjoys a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Education, and Social Welfare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 10%. A healthy private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

Motorists must pay to enter inner-cities during peak hours, the military frequently holds bake sales to raise funds, an enormous health awareness program is underway, and the only places to see doves now are at local zoos. Crime—especially youth-related—is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ytovian Churches's national animal is the dove, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the riyal.
